Courses taken abroad on semester programs may count towards major requirements. You must meet with the Faculty Representative in your major department to discuss the courses you plan to take and how those courses will fit into the overall requirements for the major.
PLEASE NOTE: Some departments have special policies regarding how many courses taken abroad may fulfill major requirements. As part of the application process, you must obtain a signature from your academic advisor on the Study Abroad Academic Course Plan. Discuss your course options with your advisor, both during the term abroad and upon return to Emory, to ensure that you have a plan for meeting the major requirements during your 4-year term at Emory.
