Emory College Study Abroad currently requires all students to meet the following eligiblity requirements for summer study abroad:
Have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average, although some programs may require a higher GPA. (Please see specific program descriptions for details.)
Be in good academic standing and remain in good academic standing.
Be a high school graduate.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Emory or another college/university and will have completed the first full year of college prior to the summer study abroad program.
- Have not previously earned a bachelor’s degree.
*If you do not meet the GPA requirement, you may submit a GPA waiver request by completing the following:
Give specific reasons that support your application to study abroad in your summer study abroad application essay.
Obtain one letter from a faculty member supporting your GPA waiver request.
Graduating seniors are eligible to participate in summer study abroad.
Visiting students from other institutions are also eligible to participate.
