Application Process

Applications will be accepted starting December 15. Applicants must complete the online application, plus all accompanying documents and requirements. The entire application must be complete for you to be considered for summer study abroad.

THE FINAL DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IS FEBRUARY 15; however, many programs will have earlier deadlines. Be sure to view your chosen program's page to view the deadline. Some programs generally close before the end of January, so early application is advised. Depending on the program, applications are either considered on a rolling basis in order of receipt or reviewed as a group. Once programs are full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. Late applications will be considered for those programs not yet full.

If you need to cancel your application for any reason, you must do so in writing to Emory College Study Abroad: no later than March 15. After this date, in addition to the non-refundable $350 deposit, other fees will be charged to your student account for unrecoverable expenses paid on your behalf. Application Status Notification

Once you have submitted your application, Emory College Study Abroad will review your application, and if your application is successful, your status will be changed to Provisional Admit (Deposit Required). You will then need to submit a $350 deposit to secure your space. After paying your deposit, your status will be changed to either Provisional Acceptance or Final Acceptance. Your application will be changed to Final Acceptance once you have been officially accepted by your program or host institution and you have shared your official acceptance notification with Emory College Study Abroad.
